During your evaluation appointment, the staff will take a series of photographs of the existing smile, occlusion, tooth position, and arch shape. Two different radiographs (x-rays) are taken: digital panoramic and cephalometric x-rays. These reveal different aspects of the jaw and tooth development critical for assessing the individual patient needs. Dr. Quint will also perform a simple intraoral examination to assess the patient’s particular concerns, and uniqueness.
Indianapolis Dentistry is equipped with state-of-the-art digital radiographs for single tooth viewing and diagnosis, full mouth panoramic radiographs, cephalometric x-rays for orthodontic analysis, and linear tomograms for accurate assessment of TMJ anatomy. All operatories (treatment rooms) have large computer monitors that allow enlargement of these radiographs so Dr. Quint and the patient (and parents if present) can review the findings and recommendations.
